What is better than recalling your high school memories when you are studying in university? On the 15th of June 2017, LEO Club and Mass Communication Club collaborated and held a gathering night with the theme ‘Back to School’. The event was carried out in SB-Room (Service Building), and the purpose of this event is to bring the students to become closer among each other.
Since it is still the beginning of a new semester, the two clubs have decided to organize an event for students to bring out feelings that they might not be able to feel anymore when they enter university or college. The reason for the collaboration between these two clubs is to be more creative and be different from the usual gathering night which only organized by a single club. To officiate the night, the opening ceremony first started with the speech of the organizing chairperson from both clubs and also 21st Term INTIMA president.
“For the first time, both clubs organized a joint fellowship night. I hope that students can enjoy themselves and I hope there will be more future activities together.” the organizing chairperson of Leo Club, Vincent Gai said.
That night, the participants from Leo and Mass Comm Club were able to get together and widen their network of friends between two clubs. There was a total of 32 students that took part on that night.
Throughout the whole event, foods and beverages were being provided. They even carried out some engrossing games for students to communicate with one and another. Before the starting of the first game, there was an ice breaking session for students to introduce themselves one by one. The first game was a game called ‘guessing names’ among the participants, followed by rock-paper-scissors, Pictionary game, and open dance floor at last.
Finally, the gathering night came to an end with a photo session among students as well as the committees of the event.
