Eye of the Eagle Exhibition 2018

As the semester comes to an end, the students of Photography COM1111 holds their Langkawi exhibition “Eye of the Eagle”, on the 19th of July. It featured over a hundred photos that had been taken during their time there. The theme chosen for the event was Neon, which gave the location pops of colour, especially the photo booth.

The event started at 10 a.m., with lecturer Cheryl Withaneachi and Mr Fong Kean Tat cutting the ribbon, officially launching the ceremony. A variety of students attended the exhibition, they came with classmates and lecturers. The exhibition ended at 12 noon, with the final group of students leaving the venue.

The photos showcased varied form nature spots to artistic places, varying from the islands, beaches and the Oriental Village. Different photographers had different perspectives of the places they went and how they captured the memories. They captured the images from the sky, ocean and land, allowing others to view the different point of views of the photographers. Each person provided a different variety of photographs from their collection.

Food and drinks were provided for guests who came to experience the exhibition, varying from Curry puffs to sausages and chicken nuggets. The drinks provided varied from coke, sprite and Fanta to Root Beer. This allowed the attendees to relax and have some fun after viewing the photographs, hanging about and meeting new and old friends.

The exhibition was a good experience for students to experience and host, giving them a chance to showcase their talent and collection.
