ETUDE HOUSE: Coffee Eyelids
When it comes to Korean Beauty, people typically appreciate how it gives a natural and subtle look to the user’s face. It can range from light to medium tones that usually compliment the stereotyped Asian complexion. Though K-Beauty isn’t filled with bright pinks and oranges – this makeup product I’ll be introducing is my go-to color palette for a quick fix before classes.
Etude House, released their extensive eye-shadow palette line called “Play Color Eyes” with themes of cherry blossoms, a wine party, a juice bar and beach party. The one I will be reviewing about however, is called #In The Café; a 10-colored eye-shadow set that resembles the shades found in a coffee shop.
Featuring names like “Café Mocha”, “Caramel Latte” and “Coffee Takeout”, how can you not fall in love with the natural tones that suit any occasion. It offers both matte and shimmery colors which help when you are in need of a switch from casual day look to party night look. Its brown, gold, cream and pink colors can easily be matched with one another to create a completely different image each swipe.
As I mentioned, I love wearing this on a daily basis to give life to my face during regular lectures. To fully utilize the colours, I would use “Honey Milk” (White) as my base and to brighten the inner corner of my lids, “Coconut in the Beach” (Light Brown) as my main colour with some sparkle in the centre from “Takeout without Syrup”, and use “Café Mocha” to define the outer corners.
Etude House’s Play Color Eyes #In My Café, is able to last exceptionally long depending on how much you apply in the Malaysia weather and your day-long activities. In my opinion, it is one of K-Beauty’s worth-the-price eye-shadow palette that can easily be added to your bag or makeup pouch.
