WHO’S YOUR NEXT STUDENT PRESIDENT?
NILAI Oct 4 - The 22nd INTIMA Executive Committee Presidential Campaign is going beyond expectations with two of the most determined and assertive students stood up as the candidates. Both of them aim to further enhance INTIMA as the bridge between students and management as well as the faculties.
Today at the student concourse, the two potential presidents were given an opportunity to voice out their goals and plans if they become the next student leader. Both candidates gave the best they could to convince students there why they deserve their votes.
The first candidate to spoke was Melchizedek Nehemiah or Mel as he called himself, from Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. Best described as a realist and an outspoken person, the reason of Mel’s to become the next INTIMA president is to make INTI a better platform for students to experience their best moments during their college life.

The other candidate up for the contest is the passionate and bold Hew Yee Ean, better known as Sammy, from Bachelor of Mass Communication. Her motto is “Unity starts with You”. Her promises for the students are truly important and creative in her own way.

During the Q&A session, one student asked how the candidates are going to improve the process of student surveying, as currently few students partake in it. Mel replied saying, “Most students don't participate because there are no actions taking place even after the surveys. If I become the president, I will make sure to be transparent with the students by providing them reasons and actions that are taking place relevant to the issue.” On the other hand, Sammy said “I will not give out general questions in the survey. I will be more specific that are relevant to the current issues.”
The voting day will be on Wednesday, 11th October, from 10am to 5pm, at student concourse. Students should bring their ID cards along with them. Don’t miss out and be sure to vote for who you think deserves to be your student representative!
